Actors smoke. Celebrity Smoking List

Actors smoke cigarettes in movies, TV shows, ads and even in pictorials but do they really smoke in real life? Well, there is no assurance if they really smoke both in their real and reel lives? You can never escape smoking in Hollywood; it takes a lot of discipline to not be a smoker in Hollywood. I have created my own male celebrity smoking list that includes both celebrities alive and dead.

1. Colin Farrell

Irish heartthrob tops my male celebrity smoking list because he completely doesn’t mind smoking public. Even the red carpet cant escape from Farrell’s addiction, he is always spotted holding or dangling his cigarette. However, his sexy aura when holding or smoking a cigarette made him the one of Hollywood’s most stylish man.

2. Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp has come a long way from his “Edward the Scissorshand” days but he is still not done with smoking. Too much smoking is very evident in the award-winning actor’s gloomy eyes and sucked-in cheeks.

3. Ben Affleck

Maybe that Ben Affleck’s family is growing, he is thinking of quitting smoking for good. But the actor is notoriously known for being a chain-smoker, with an average of 21 sticks a day! Maybe he is also smoking in his sleep.

4. Brad Pitt

Like Affleck, Brad’s multi-cultural brood, courtesy of partner Angelina Jolie, may make Brad Pitt say adios to smoking. There are reports that Jolie (who used to smoke) gave him a “no-sex” policy if he smokes because she dislikes the smell.

5. Frank Sinatra

Legendary singer Frank Sinatra is also known to be a chain smoker but luckily his voice box is not that sensitive cigarette smoke. Sinatra has been photographed and seen smoking in public like in restaurants, hotel balconies and even backstage.

6. Johnny Cash

Country music legend, Johnny Cash may hate the blacks but absolutely adores cigarettes. Like Sinatra, he loves puffing in between tours, recordings or concert rehearsals.

7. Al Pacino

Award winning actor Al Pacino has seen in many movies smoking cigarettes but this is very true in his real life. He simply adores smoking and sadly many fans love his immortal image as a smoker.

8. Bob Dylan

Like most singers, lead British band member is worthy to be included in this male celebrity smoking list. Bob Dylan mix rock with smoking and was never shy to be seem smoking in public.

9. Kevin Federline

Not that he is a big celebrity but Kevin Federline made a stir with smoking habits when he was seen smoking in a restaurant with his then pregnant wife, Britney Spears. Many concerned groups reacted particularly with the effects of second hand smoking to his unborn child. Maybe all this star wannabe cares is himself?

10. Heath Ledger

Australian actor Heath Ledger is best remembered for his acting skills particularly in his last movie, “Dark Knight” as Joker but he is also known to be a chain smoker. Heath has been seen smoking in movie sets, during interviews and in many other public places.

I cannot stress the importance that these celebrities be responsible enough to realize that their actions affect people, mostly kids who idolizes them. I don’t blame them, they are also victims just like us. But as celebrities they should be more discreet in showing their habits since it is destructive.

  1. jack nicholson should be 1 or 2, he is like 80 and still puffing

  2. Peter facinelli also smokes why are they so talented but stupid people?!!

  3. I like Al Pacino, he is a great actor and plays his roles perfectlly.Of course it would be much healthier for him not to smoke in real life.

  4. “I cannot stress the importance that these celebrities be responsible enough to realize that their actions affect people”.

If you think they are bad role models don’t like you kids observe their work! Why should these people have to censor their lives for the benefit of you or your opinion. Statements like yours are the feeble fatuous opinions of blame shifters.

  5. i say stop telling humans what they should do, this planet has become obsessed with judgement of others.

i smoke, and i enjoy a cig but that is my choice not yours or any others, and i know you will try to put the small guy down. But i dont have a lot to look forward to in life, so this is one thing you will not i repeat will not take away from me.

i like smoking, i dont want to be a super human being and certainly dont want to be a muscle bound over size looking freak of nature.

drugs world wide is destroying the human mind and you have a go at smokers get real people.

i say im going to do what i dam want to do, with out you others medalling in my life and dictating to me what i should eat, not to smoke, what i should wear and what exercise i should do.

did you even say to your self, what if i dont like any of those things you guys, do most of you are fitness obsessed, i bet that exercise regime costs way more than cigarettes and your fashion and your vitamins and special protien powders and yoru false tans and fancy hair cuts, yes you see there is way more at fault with your side of life and you spend more on that silly nonsense than i do on fags, so quit telling me im wrong, overstressed todays generation surely is, and its killing you to know that time is catching up with you with all your stupid botox and skin streches i say it is you guys who have got it wrong and are uneasy with your own lives, im very comfortable. And world leaders are doing far worse crimes than me – go figure.

so i smoke, the world is very very very corrupt.

  6. Right on, Miceal!

  7. good for you. if you want to smoke-it’s your life.Obviously, there’s smoking and there’s smoking.
heavy smoking will hurt you more than light smoking. I currently have quit but I smoked 5 a day for 40 yrs and feel no different. I miss the enjoyment I got from smoking. It is no business of mine who else smokes in the world.
One thing I do think though, actors and people in the public eye, should smoke in private. That way smoking is not glamourised and young people will make their own minds up about starting.

  8. WHAT I THIS BS?

“Like most singers, lead British band member is worthy to be included in this male celebrity smoking list..”

Bob Dylan was not a lead British band member , are ignorant? The most important celebrity on the list and you dont even know who he is? Noone else noticed?

And what garbage post, atleast tell what brand they smoke or something instead filling up space spewing garbage like Angelina may top brad, who the F*** are you perez hilton. Dont get me started again on the Bob Dylan descrption. You are a terrible writer and yes my gramour is bad, Its a stupid blog, and im too lazy to read, furthermore I alway thought attacking the substance of a given blog, takes alot more insight than spellchecking someone. BOB DYLAN WAS NOT BRITISH!!!!!!!!!!

  9. You forgot Jessica Lange, the biggest chain-smoker of them all. She even chain-smokes in practically every movie she’s in. I picture her and significant-other Sam Shepard just beached all day every day chain-smoking.

    Sad.

  10. British band leader Bob Dylan? Are you high?

  11. What about DiCaprio? Heard that guy is a chain smoker too….

  12. All you people saying “Actors are role models and they shouldn’t smoke blah blah” are idiots! It is not up to us to correct bad influence in children, it’s up to the parents! People need to start taking responsibility for their own lives and quit blaming anyone and everyone else. Next let’s cut out drinking in films as well as driving fast and fighting…. idiots

  13. Christopher Lloyd would smoke in films, and all I can think of is “Dennis the Menace”.
Tom Hulce would smoke in films like “murder in Miss.” or “Animal House”, or even “The Inner Circle”.
And Macaulay Culkin would smoke in films like “the Good Son” Or “Saved”; Patrick Swayze did smoke in frequent films apparently more than his 8th Cousin, Tom Hulce. Then again I could be a little wrong.

  14. I’ve worked on a couple films, and everyone on set (no joke, EVERYONE) smoked. I was the only one who didn’t, I asked the talent why and they said it was more to pass the time than anything. They have a lot of waiting time and it’s a way to bond with their fellow talent and crew. I think it’s too bad, there are a lot of actors that aren’t hot any more once I find out they smoke.

  15. So what if they smoke, quit hating. Kids will always smoke. And even more if they raise the smoking age. England might have more kids that admit to smoke because there its legal to smoke when youre 16 but illegal to buy them. America is just making cigarettes look like only deathwishers smoke them, making kids think they are total badasses. Being real, smoking is not that bad. All of you straight Edge fucks are just making them look as if they were crystal meth.

  16. There is no a single, tried and tested best way to stop smoking. The fact is that every smoker should find a good reason to quit and than be strong and serious enough to achieve this goal.

  17. Get Your Facts Straight

“notoriously known for being a chain-smoker, with an average of 21 sticks a day1″

On what planet is smoking a pack of cigarettes a day considered chain smoking?

The average smoker smokes a pack a day. That’s about one cigarette every hour.

Chain smoking is when you light one cigarette after another after another after another. A chain smoker would go through 3-4 packs a day.
